About TheCheyne

Me and my super 8I am a 27 year old Filipino-Chinese born and raised in Honolulu. I have an old spirit, but a young heart.

My tastes fluxuate between varying degrees of extremes: one minute I’m the most optimistic idealist you’ll ever meet, the next I’m a cynical crab-fut who hates everyone and everything. I am attracted to nerdy, sweater-vest wearing boys in spectacles as much as I am attracted to tattoo-sporting bad boys. I swear I’m not bi-polar, I am just ruled by both Yin and Yang.

I am a Scorpio, so that means I rock. That also means I re-invent myself every so often. If it’s not my hair, it’s my clothing style, my mannerisms and sometimes even my friends. I crave variety, but I demand stability — is that so hard to understand? My body is decorated with more tattoos than muscles and I desire more of both.

I may have been baptised Catholic (like all Filipino boys), but I consider myself a Taoist. If you don’t know what that is, I highly recommend you read “the Tao of Pooh” as a crash course.

My graphic design job pays the bills, but my passion for filmmaking cure my ills. I write, direct, produce and edit all the movies for my group the 5′ GIANTS. I also act on the stage ocassionally, but I prefer to direct. I also do freelance photography.

I’m sure I haven’t shared all of my facets with you. If you think of something you’d like to know, just email me.

  1. hello! i’m also filipino. was born and raised here in the philippines and will probably die here as well.

i chanced upon your blog while scouring the net for some quotes about love…i also just got off a relationship but unlike yours, mine is long distance (he lives in boston). i am in what i call the “let the pain remain forever in my heart phase”.

i love reading your work. your thoughts are very raw and honest…i feel like i am transported to each experience…a silent spectator watching as each human emotion as it unfolds.

bless your heart for somehow making me realize that things aren’t always as bad as they seem.
