I got the callback and — after another grueling round of focused line-reading — am now in the play!
I have been asked to portray Marmion Cedilla, the mouthpiece and medium by which invalid billionaire tycoon Lester Trainsmith communicates. It’s a hilarious role and I hope I can give a great performance as such an interesting character.
The best part about my role is that it’s not too much of a responsibility, but it’s still very memorable — as opposed to the other people playing “waiter #1″ and “girl in restaurant”. Not that I’m bragging…
We’re having our first costume rehearsal this evening. We’ll be reading more lines, someone will measure my chest and crotch area and then we’ll go home. I think that’s how rehearsals will generally go. Well, besides the measuring the crotch thing. That’s only during the weekend with my boyfriend. And he doesn’t use his hands.
When any photos become available (for press kit purposes and promotions) I’ll be sure to post them.
Wish me luck during this new adventure known all over the world by gay men alike as Theater!
